Central Government Scholarships

• NSP (National Scholarship Portal): houses all central and state scholarships; apply at scholarships.gov.in
• Pre-Matric Scholarship: SC/ST/OBC/Minorities; Class 9–10; ₹1,500–₹3,500/year + academic allowance
• Post-Matric Scholarship: Class 11–PG; SC/ST/OBC; maintenance allowance + academic fees

Maharashtra State Scholarships

• EBC (Economically Backward Class) scholarship: income below ₹8 lakh; HSC/Degree level; ₹2,500–₹5,000/year
• Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scholarship: OBC; post-SSC; annual scholarship
• DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer): scholarship amounts directly credited to student bank account

TFWS — Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme

• 5% seats in professional colleges (engineering, pharmacy) reserved for economically weaker students
• Family income below ₹8 lakh; complete tuition fee waived; only paying for hostel/books
• TFWS admission through MHT-CET counselling: DTE Maharashtra; highly valuable scheme

Scholarship for Minority Students

• State Minority Finance Corporation scholarships: Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Parsis, Sikhs, Jains (in some states)
• Maulana Azad National Fellowship: research fellowship for minorities for PhD
