  1. Collectivisation, consolidation of holdings, cooperation and abolition of zamindari.
  2. Land Reform was the main focus of the 'First Five Year Plan'.
  3. The Green Revolution and the White Revolution were initiated to improve the Indian agriculture.
  4. Provision for crop insurance and establishment of Grameen banks, cooperative societies and banks for providing loan facilities to the farmers at lower rates of interest.
  5. Kissan Credit Card (KCC) and Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (PAIS).
  6. Special Weather bulletins and agricultural programmes on radio and television.
  7. Minimum support price (MSP) and subsidy on agricultural inputs and resources such as power and fertilizers.
