The methods used by plants to get rid of excretory products are:

  1. Oxygen and carbon dioxide are released through stomata.
  2. Excess water is removed through transpiration.
  3. Other wastes may be removed through dead tissues like falling leaves.
  4. Waste products are also stored in cellular vacuoles, resins or gums.
  5. Plants also excrete some waste substances into the soil around them.
