The radius of curvature of a spherical mirror is 20 cm. What is its focal length?

Answer

Given,

Radius of curvature (R) = 20 cm

Focal length (f) = ?

We know, R = 2f or f = R2\dfrac{R}{2}

Hence, f = 202\dfrac{20}{2} = 10 cm

∴ Focal length of spherical mirror is 10 cm.
