Question
What would the thickness of a sheet of paper be after 30 folds? Assume that the thickness of the sheet is 0.001 cm. (Page 19)
Answer

Here, 2 30 = 1,073,741,824 Final thickness = 0.001 × 1,073,741,824 = 1,073,741.824 cm = 10,737.41824 meters (1 m = 100 cm) = 10.74 kilometers (1 km = 1000 m) Hence, after 30 folds, the thickness of the paper would be approximately 10.74 kilometers.
