Question
Construct a square with a diagonal of 6 cm without using a protractor.
Answer

Draw a line AB equal to 6 cm. We have 6 ÷ 2 = 3. With centre at A and B, draw arcs of radius slightly greater than 3 cm, say, 4 cm. Join the points of intersection of the arcs. Let this line intersect AB at O. Take points C and D on the perpendicular line so that OC = OD = 3 cm. Join AC, CB, BD, and DA. ACBD is the required square with diagonals equal to 6 cm.
