These coalfields are located in the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. | Tertiary coalfields are found in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Kashmir and in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and inland basin of Rajasthan. |
