Question 7

If -3 ≤ -4x + 5 and x ∈ W, then the solution set is :

  1. {.......-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, .......}

  2. {1, 2}

  3. {0, 1, 2}

  4. {2, 3, 4, 5}

Answer

Solving,

⇒ -3 ≤ -4x + 5

⇒ 4x ≤ 5 + 3

⇒ 4x ≤ 8

⇒ x ≤ 84\dfrac{8}{4}

⇒ x ≤ 2.

Since, x ≤ 2 and x ∈ W.

∴ Solution set = {0, 1, 2}.

Hence, Option 3 is the correct option.
