Intensity of scattering of violetIntensity of scattering of red\dfrac{\text{Intensity of scattering of violet}}{\text{Intensity of scattering of red}} = (λredλviolet)4(\dfrac{λ_{red}}{λ_{violet}})^4

So,

Intensity of scattering of violetIntensity of scattering of red\dfrac{\text{Intensity of scattering of violet}}{\text{Intensity of scattering of red}} = (80004000)4(\dfrac{8000}{{4000}})^4 = 24

= 16
