Answer

(a) Two ideas of Gandhiji included in the Directive Principles of State Policy are:

  1. Establish Village Panchayats as units of local self-government.
  2. Promote cottage industries in an individual and cooperative basis in rural areas.

(b) Following are the steps taken by the government for the implementation of Gandhian Principle related to education and Panchayati Raj:

  1. Most of the state governments have government aided schools where children up to 14 years of age are provided with free and compulsory education.
  2. In accordance with the Gandhian Principles, Panchayati Raj has been established in the villages to promote the idea of local-self-government.
