Three measures taken by the Government for the implementation of the Directive Principles of State policy are:

  1. Most of the state governments have government aided schools where children up to 14 years of Age are provided with free and compulsory education.
  2. Untouchability has been abolished and its practice in any form is a punishable offence.
  3. Panchayati Raj has been established in the villages to promote the idea of local-self-government.
