Phase II Economics and Finance
- Economics: Macro (IS-LM model, monetary policy, inflation targeting, BoP), Micro (elasticity, market structures, game theory)
- Finance: financial markets, derivatives, banking regulation, monetary transmission mechanism, RBI functions
- Current Affairs: RBI Monetary Policy Reports, Annual Report, Economic Survey, IMF World Economic Outlook
Preparation Resources
- Phase I: same as SSC CGL/IBPS PO for quant and reasoning; GA from monthly magazines (Pratiyogita Darpan)
- Phase II Economics: IGNOU B.Com/MA notes + Mankiw Macroeconomics + Mishkin Financial Markets book
- RBI publications: Annual Report, Report on State of Economy, Monetary Policy Reports — must read for Phase II
