When we start adding the counting numbers cumulatively, we get the sequence of triangular numbers.
1: 1
1 + 2: 3
1 + 2 + 3: 6
1 + 2 + 3 + 4: 10
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5: 15
This sequence is known as the triangular numbers.
