Reason — In fig. 1, we know l = λ2\dfrac{λ}{2}. Hence, λ = 2l

In fig. 2, l = 2λ2\dfrac{2λ}{2} Hence, λ = 2l2\dfrac{2l}{2}

In fig. 3, l = 3λ2\dfrac{3λ}{2}. Hence, λ = 2l3\dfrac{2l}{3}

So, we get, the wavelength of different modes in Figure (1), (2) and (3) as 2l, 2l2\dfrac{2l}{2}, 2l3\dfrac{2l}{3}
